Steak Breakfast Burrito

This mouth-wateringly savory steak breakfast burrito makes a perfect breakfast meal. With juicy savory steak, creamy scrambled eggs, salty cheddar cheese, and fresh vegetables, this burrito is one of my absolute favorites to eat in the morning.

Breakfast burritos can be served either fresh or toasted. You can toast them in the skillet pan you use for cooking the steak and eggs or, if you have pre-made them, then it’s quick and easy to add 3 or 4 to a sandwich press. Great for feeding the whole family on a busy morning!

In this recipe, the steak is cooked to medium doneness, but cook it however you prefer—just adjust the cooking times accordingly. I also like to rest my steak for at least a couple of minutes so that it stays moister.

How To Make a Steak Breakfast Burrito

Prepare your steaks by seasoning them with a generous pinch of salt and freshly ground cracked pepper.

    Seasoning steak

Place a small skillet pan over medium heat, add a little oil, and once the pan has heated up thoroughly, carefully place your steaks in the pan.

Cook the steaks for 4 minutes on each side; this will cook it through to medium. Remove steaks from the pan, and set them aside for a couple of minutes to rest.

Once they’re done resting, cut them into thin slices.

    Cooked steak

Place the same skillet pan over low-medium heat and pour in your whisked eggs. Season with salt and pepper, then scramble eggs.

    Cooked scrambled eggs

Chop the red peppers, yellow peppers, and tomato. Now it’s time to assemble your tortilla!

    Chopped ingredients

In the middle of a tortilla, lay a couple of baby spinach leaves and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.

    Layering the burrito

Layer scrambled eggs, some juicy sliced steak, peppers, tomatoes, and mayonnaise.

    Layering the ingredients

Wrap tightly and slice in half. Enjoy with a drizzle of your favorite hot sauce!

Note: If you don’t want to eat the peppers raw, you can always cook them before you scramble the eggs. You can do the same with the spinach.
