Ingredients

  • 1 package premade croissant dough
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • ¼ cup cream cheese
  • ¼ cup raspberries
  • 1 banana (sliced)
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • Icing sugar to garnish (optional)
  • Fresh mint to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat waffle iron and set aside.
  • Roll croissant dough and fill with 2 tbsp of your favorite toppings. I went with cream cheese and raspberries as well as peanut butter and banana.
  • Start at the larger end of the triangle and roll it toward the middle making sure the tip is centered.
  • Place the croissants in the fridge and take out each one at a time to grill.
  • Take your individual croissant and toss it in sugar. Be sure to remove any excess sugar.
  • Place your croissant into a waffle iron and grill until cooked, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Once ready, remove from the grill, garnish with icing sugar, mint and serve.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Roll your croffles in sugar. This will help make them extra crispy and absorb the butter that will come out in the cooking process.
To make the best croffles, thaw out your pastry dough. If you’re using frozen dough it’s best to wait until it’s completely thawed so that it will be easy to mold. When they’re rolled up, leaving them in the fridge while each individually grills in the waffle iron yields the best results.
