Notes

The hardest part of making a charcuterie board is assembling all the ingredients on the board. It can be hard to figure out how everything fits together — even intimidating! I like to start with the largest items and put these around the board first.
Even though you often see charcuteries laid out on big fancy boards, you don’t need a wood or marble serving board to pull this together. A large serving platter or even a large cake plate can work.
Vary the heights of the ingredients. I try not to put all my tall foods (like cheeses) in one area and all my flat foods (like meats and berries) in another to give the board another level of visual interest.
Don’t cluster large items together, instead distribute them across your board, and nestle in smaller items around the larger ones.
